A cozy and vibrant community gathering where the magic of music and the warmth of a welcoming aloha come together!
Nestled in the heart of a charming coffee shop on the beautiful island of Maui, our ʻUkulele Jam is more than just a music session – it's a place to connect, share, and celebrate the joy of playing music with others. Whether you're a seasoned ʻukulele player or a beginner looking to strum your first chord, our jam is open to everyone.
A Cozy, Inviting Space with a Warm Atmosphere
We are Maui's newest ʻukulele group who enjoys playing a wide range of traditional, contemporary and hapa-haole hawaiian songs. Once a month, we turn up the spirit with something special – a unique, jam session that brings even more excitement and creativity to our cozy space. Our venue is filled with the beautiful sounds of ukuleles in harmony, and a sense of community that feels like family.
All levels of ʻukulele ability are welcome - from beginners to advanced.
The primary medium that we use are ipads and tablets. Note: Please have a google account with an @gmail.com email address. Contact site admin Pekelo at mauiukes808@gmail.com for access to the Maui 'Ukulele 'Ohana (MUO) song folder in Google Drive.
The secondary medium to use are the hard copy books like He Mele Aloha however not all of the songs we sing are in this book. Another alternate is to email Pekelo at mauiukes808@gmail.com – to request the songs for you to print out prior to these jams and keep in a binder.
At these jams, you'll have access to the Coffee Attic hotspot to be able to use songs in the MUO google drive on your digital device.
Please also bring a music stand if you have one, but there are tables to also use.
Cost: $free but donations are welcome which go to Coffee Attic.
